Please Help Victoria Speechley Achieve Her Birthday Wish

Victoria Speechley's Birthday Wish is for people to donate to the P.E.A.C.E. (Protect Educate Children Everywhere) Fund.

http://birthdays.causes.com/wishes/16834

http://birthdays.causes.com

I have never met Victoria Speechley, but she has been working with one of my favorite charities for a few years and instead of asking for presents for herself she is asking for people to donate money instead.

I applaud her for that. I must say I did not know about this birthday wish idea when it was my birthday. I seriously doubt anyone I know would have donated (especially this) considering how hard it has been for the people in my life.

As of this writing I have one friend fighting to keep her grandson, another has been out of work for almost two years, one friend lost her dad the other day and now has nowhere to live, another friend (whole family) has nowhere to live and is looking, one friend just lost his job a couple of weeks ago, my ex-boss' husband had a stroke the other day too, and my family has been plagued with health and work problems themselves.

These last couple of years have been extremely rough for almost everyone in my life.

I seem to be working a lot and getting absolutely nowhere. I was supposed to get a raise the end of June (not that it would help much considering how little I get paid), but it has not gone through yet. My boss (whom I do actually like) was late getting the review in. Now I will be a shift leader with I believe another raise and some health insurance.

The check with the back pay will be nice, but in reality it will just take out more taxes than if it been done on time.

I wish I had the time and money to help out the charities and causes I really do believe in, but I will have to settle for spreading the word.

I have a few ideas for the area I live in for fundraisers if I ever get a job that does not stress me out or exhaust me as this job does. The work would not be that bad if everyone actually did more and showed up on time. It would also help if people would stop quitting.

Thank you in advance for reading this blog in the past, present, and future.
I know I have been absent for quite some time,
but my family has been going through a lot
of struggle for quite some time
including health, financial, and computer problems.
A family friend fixed my computer for free
and I should be able to do things (like posting)
more frequently and easier.
Thank you for your patience and support since I started blogging.
